African American Regiments and Butterfly Cavalry

Just wondering if you would be adding African American Infantry, Cavalry, and Artillery Regiments/units. The famous 54th Massachusetts made a name for themselves and I thought they would make good units for the American Civil War - Total War Mod if they havent already been considered.

Another interesting regiment you may want to consider, I believe they were the 3rd New Jersey and were cavalry but they were known as "the Butterflies" They were called this due to their colorful uniform and visorless caps. Interesting, to attract recruits, their uniforms were customized to look a lot like the European Hussar uniforms. I don't know how significant or prevalent they were in the war but I thought they too could be added to the Civil War Mod.

Unfortunately, adding both of these new units would require new models to be made, which is a TON of work. Also, the mod has already been completed, and is awaiting authority from the Lordz to be released.

I kind of wished to see African American Regiments as well, unfortunately, the work to do so would be immense, and with the game coming out in ( Probably ) a week, it's not possible.

Watch out for the game, though! It SHOULD come soon. Be patient, and I'll see you on the Field of Battle!

To be honest, I had played around with a graphic for the 54th, but couldnt get it to look quite right. I might, however, revisit it... maybe in an expansion pack?

As for the 3rd New Jersey, they are a FAVORITE of uniform books because of their look, but unfortuantely they were the only unit (as far as I can tell) that looked like that. The graphic wouldnt be hard; I am sure there is a NTW graphic that could be used. However, it would be SO specific that I would rather use the graphic slot (there are only so many graphics we can have) for a unit that might be more generic in nature.

However, that can of course change with an expansion, so keep the suggestions coming!
