Here's a link to some in-game movies from IG. The naval battles look pretty nice, but sadly the speed of ground battles seem to be closer to RTW than to NTW.  Another click-fest for RTS-teens? I really hope that that is not all we get for artillery in this game!
Apparently people over there have not heard of Round Shot or Ball!

The IG site has been updated a bit, at least the British version. The US version is not updated yet for some reason. They are presenting Russia and Prussia and their units. The units follow the exact same pattern - "recruits" (with the famous clubs), line, light, grenadiers, guards, jaegers, 4 types of cav as the French and English... I wonder if at least the different nations have a bit different unit stats, but I'm not holding my breath... Compared to NTW the number of different unit types is abysmal. Let's hope some modders add more diverse troops after the release. [GG]vD |
