Does anybody still have this installed (I do)? While waiting for NTW1 v7 to be released (and since I can't play NTW2 ) it would be fun to try some games with this under-used gem. [GG]LvD

LOL well you DO get the chance to reverse history if you play the game. Or you can just play the ACW part where the Americans just kill off each other. [GG]LvD

Well YOU would think that wouldn't you. But you're right - the huge differences between the factions make for real interesting games. [GG]LvD

I have it. And i think its pretty pathetic that any of us would avoid a war of this genre because you think you cant win.
The British Army is not at all weak in this mod. And the American army is not significantly stronger. Ive played both sides in single play in pretty objective tests, and there's just not that big a difference.
BTW, I DONT use the french troops, they barely set foot on this continent when they were really needed other than the big hoorah at the end. They FAILED to support Washington and Greene on several important occasions because they couldn't make a damm decision, and although they did manage get their fleet to bungle its way across the entrance to the Chesapeake between Cape Henry and Cape Charles long enough to keep the British from coming to haul Lord Cornwallis out of Yorktowne that wouldnt have happened if someone had had the nerve to force those gaps the way the did in Nelson's time.
As for the Indians, I suppose they were used in some numbers in the north, and in battles or skirmishes that I mostly dont have much knowledge, but from Maryland and Delaware on south I have checked repeatedly and cant find a single battle where there were enough indians to make it into the battle report. Their skirmish ability is very strong but I would not recommend using them because they present a skewed balance in the forces.
Come on u dudes, who's afeered of a scrap?

Dogg, where did you read that anyone was afraid of playing? I miss something? Personally I love the mod, and most folks who played it enjoy it too; the slow, powerful british vs the fast, fragile americans... good times:D
Lets try to get a game in sometime! Next time I am on msn and able to play I'll see who we can gather up!
