I need your help.

And I need it bad.

In January/February, I'm going to have the ability to get a new car. I've pretty much narrowed my search to a Ford Mustang GT.

But what I want to know is: How much real power will I get out of it? I'm probably going to get a '93-'97 model. Should I go with a Mustang or keep the car I have now and put in a 5sp transmission?

I'd love to get a Cobra if they weren't $14,000 on average and weren't ten times as expensive on the insurance reports.

My alternator just went the way of shite on my Camaro. There goes $100. ( Luckily, I can put it in myself with some assistance from my father. No labor costs for me, thanks. )

I don't think I can afford a newer model 'Stang, however. I'd gladly go for a V6 3.4L 5sp Camaro if I could ever get my hands on one. But, they seem to be a nonexistant beast. And a Z28? Way out of my price range.

I can get, at tops, a $7,000 loan.
