I have never tried it myself, but heard form others that the Mod is great! I use the RTR mod, its one of the best IMO.
There are working on a new version, 6.0 which adds a Lot of realism. check it out here:

Mods are always good...the NET had put a lot of confidence on the SPQR mod made by LT1956 but it has the issue where you have the same version as other and still when you go to the lobby the data is not compatible...They have been trying to sort out this issue and so far nothing...

I like RTR it's good, the community is not putting high hopes on the expansion pack for RTW-Barabarian Invasion, but people in the same community are doing a better job than CA, when it comes to skinning, balancing, etc...

Sengoku Jidai is a mod that my Khan and leader of the Grey Wolves supports and also has been invited to work on...This mod features in the Japanese country and it's featured in the Sengoku period...His experience in Total War has been as far as 5 years and he will sure make a great job trying to bring the very best out of a mod for RTW-BI.

Anyone know what's the killing rate for NTW2?

The graphics look amazing but we havn't heard much from the balancing issues and killing rate.
