Like the hushed calm before the storm, peace sits as fragile as glass over Europe.
With scant hours before the sky darkens with smoke and war, I anxiously pace in my tent. My eyes hurt, exhausted, my back sore. Over me, about me, a dark pall... as if the very fumes of bloody battle drag my soul lower.
But I know it is a war I must fight, and a war that may have my life if it so asks. To be cold and tired is so warm and filling when considering the emptiness of death, of eternity after that last breath.
To all my Brothers in Arms; Russian, French... Austrian, Freie... I say godspeed and good luck in the war that has come.

Gentlemen!
I would just like to thank [GG]Ashram (and of course other contributors) for all the amazing work that has been done in bringing this campaign to life, and I am sure that the success of the campaign will measure up to all that effort, and hopefully surpass it. Now it is up to us - the participating generals - to make sure this will happen. So load your muskets, sharpen your sabres and ready those cannon for the storm is soon upon us! And what a delightful storm it is promising to be!!! ;D
