S! all,
Unfortunately, due to a somewhat low turnout by players, I have to announce the suspension of the Eastern Alliance campaign.
I greatly appreciate all of the players who tried hard to make it work, and I apologize if some of the stuff involved with the campaign seemed too difficult to understand after people had read it a bunch of times... although I admit I am disappointed by how many people signed up and then didn't take a few minutes to familiarize themselves with the information.
I will put together all of the information for the upcoming Weekday Scenarios that I had planned with the idea of making them available to anyone who wants to play around with them with the idea of making them useful for NTW MP; the weekday scenarios have recieved RAVE reviews, as they truly offer a new MP experience, and I would like to make these public.
Again, thanks to everyone who helped out, and please keep your eyes open, I'll be sending out some goodies such as the custom maps and such out soon.
Also, I would like to at some point host a small, private campaign in the future... I will post more as I get working on it.
Thanks again all!
S!

It is with a heavy heart I see that [GG]Ashram feels the need to cancel this campaign. I know he has put a LOT of work into this, and it is sad that so few registered players have actually played the campaign games. IMO they have all been great fun to play and a different gaming experience compared to "normal" NTW. [GG]Ashram has IMO created a brilliant model for mass-multiplayer campaigning and I hope we will see some further use of it in the future. I for one will gladly keep playing the new (and old) scenarios even if the campaign has been cancelled. I do however understand that [GG]Ashram doesn't feel like putting in so much work when the response (that was initially so great) has been so weak during the first week. Finally I just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU!!! to [GG]Ashram for presenting the NTW community with this grand project, and it is by no means your fault [GG]Ashram tat it fell through. You have worked very hard and been nothing but helpful during the preparations and the first stage of this undertaking. You deserve our utmost respect and gratitude. And another big THANK YOU to Lord Shand who gave us the most amusing and interesting EA patch. I love my Freie Armee! S![GG]von Döbeln

Hmm sorry to say but yu shouldnt be dissapointted by a low level of participants,in my opinion yu should held yur ground despite all odds, see what works what doesnt and keep the campaign going on,this mod is a nice piece of gaming that needs of fresh inticiatives, as this one is, to come better and better. The cavalry skirmish we played this week was a very good game with a units setting new to me and really fun.Time ago i posted at the Lordz forum about an idea to make a campaign in a simple way without a strategic map and all that stuff in order to make it work,in my experience as online player ive seen that simple ideas use to work.Yur campaign in a certain way is a bit in the track of my idea so in my humble opinion get rid of the stuff that impairs you from the good work and the fun .If no much people is online on Sunday make the big battle any day during the week and do it ramdomly perhaps it will add some more fun since many times the battles happen when theyre not expected.
LETS PLAY THOSE SCENES ANY DAY THIS WEEK AN HAVE SOME FUN.THERE IS NO RESON TO THROW AWAY THE GOOD WORK,BE POSITIVE.

Sorry to hear the news I have particularly enjoyed reading the scenarios and the Company and Brigade format to selecting armies, that has brought to the game an added realism and balance (and stopped the excesive use Super-trooper armies) I sincerely hope you find a way to continue this project and see it through to it's conclusion, it's an awful lot of fine material to let go to waste. If we can establish what may have caused the erratic attendances then possibly the campaign could be re-started or continued from where we left off. Finally, A BIG THANK YOU is in order for all the hard work that you put into this, it's been great fun...... All the Best Atila El Zipper

Well....d**n. That is just awful news. I think this campaign was the very best of NTW. I wasn't as involved as I wanted to be...yet, but was hoping to find more time. Ash put a HUGE amount of time and effort into this, and it is really a shame to see it aborted. I agree with Wideblade...just go with it and see what happens. But, it's Ash's time, blood, sweat and tears, so if it isn't worth it to him he shouldn't pursue it. Thanks Ash for all your hard work. I thought your campaign setup was brilliant and not really tough to figure out. AK

what Shand said! The Sunday events are awesome, the lists, the company profiles. And I totally enjoyed the weekday battles. I say re-group, every event like this have a few minor teething problems, once ironed out it will flow smoothly I'm sure. I just get the feeling people are standing back waiting for everything to settle down. The problems at the beginning with people getting the patch wrong and the minor problems with the map haven't helped the cause, but they are sorted. I think what might be needed is a test on a Friday, the Sunday maps to be hosted and tested so by sunday everything will run smooth. The problem ain't yours alone Ash, we are all here to help and support you..... We await your orders S!

I wouldnt mind, on a MUCH smaller scale... maybe 4, 5 people per side... maybe at some point? Dunno what the people who played the original thought?

Small scale sounds good to me. I miss playing EA battles! ;D (Unit costs may need a revision though if we don't play "scripted" battles... ) [GG]LvD
