Old Guard unit cost

I think the Old Guard will cost 2000 florins now...

I think that is a good price...and a fair one for the best infantry unit in the game...

However I do feel that maybe it might be to much for others...so I thought posting about it here might help us all discuss about it...

Personally I have always hated seeing 4 old guard at valour 2 or 3 on a 4 Guard Limit Game...

Im like CMON!! Dident they ever use the Middle Guard or Young Guard in the napoleonics? lol...you got three types of Guard units to choose from with the French Faction...why you gotta use up four guard slots for just Old Guard? lol...well I can see why...people want to win...but with this high advantage...should be a extreme disadvantage...and that should be price...So I bloody think that 2000 is very fair...because I saw 3 old guard at valour 2 wipe out 4 highlanders at valour 4...soooo....you be the judge and tell me where you draw the line...

I think 2000 is a bit too steep. To make British Guards slightly better than OG valour 0 you have to pay 1589 (British Guards valour 2), so to keep some balance in MP I would say about 1500-1600 would be a good price for the OG.

I think thats fair Von that 1600-1800 price... still very steep if its 1800 though...I mean 200 less helps but almost the same thing...not to many things you can get for 200 florins...so maybe a price of 1700? or 1750?

EDIT : However, I do not know much of the prices in NTW.

Why don't you ask TIG what they think as seen as they play with the French?

In my opinion 2000 is way OTT.

We all pretty much know the TIG opinion of the 2000 florin old guard...

I have to admit...I do enjoy the high cost of the old guard...but I feel its a bit to much now and should be in around the 1300-1600 range with the other factions guard units around 800-1000 or so
