If anyone has any questions about the format of the campaign and about Weekday Scenarios, please post them here.
There are more rules on the way (sorry, to sort all this out takes a lot of rules!) so please, please, please, if there is any single thing here that is not phrased clearly or that you have a question about, please ask now to avoid confusion later.

Q: I am a French/Die Freie General. I want to command French armies. Can I?
A: Yes and no. If you look at the example Weekday Scenario I sent out, you will see that if you are the sole representative for your side in a battle, you by default select an army of your major faction, i.e. French or Russian. The second army only becomes available if there are two or more Generals from your side playing. Then, the Generals involved have to split up the commands. Therefore you get a chance to play BOTH factions of your side during the campaign, depending on how many fellow Generals you are playing with.
A: Q: Will I play with my own clan mates?
A: Yes and no. Unforunately, at this time, due to times people are available, no clan was able to be placed in one faction on their own. However, all clan-affiliated players will have at least a few clanmates on their side.
Q: Prob a stupid question but how do we know if its a blue or a red situation when playing on the new GG Campaign. This was the only bit that i have struggled to understand fully. I have an idea of it but just want it confirmed in idiot terms so i dont annoy anyone while playing it.
A: The answer to your question is a pretty simple one and goes like this: Levels are determined by looking at whatever side has the fewest number of Generals playing. If the *smaller* side has one or two Generals playing, that particular game is played at Conflict Level Blue. If the *smaller* side has three or four Generals (it can only have four if both sides have four, of course,) the game is played at Conflict Level Red.
Q: Where is the Patch! I want to play as the new faction/units!
A: It is coming, probably ready within a week of January 19, 2005.
Q: Where are the rules for the campaign?
A: ntwgg.proboards26.com/index.cgi?board=campinfo&action=display&thread=1105168539
Q: What Generals have emailed you their play time information and host information?
A: As of now,
HG Hitman
HG BloodNIron
Foilist
GG ThinRedLine
HG Lord Shand
HG Crow
HG Lord Zimoa of Flanders
[TIG]1Lt Thompson
GG Salis
GG Von Doblen
GG AndrewKent
GG Ashram
Waiting to make the teams till I get the rest.
Q: I have a request about the Arty rule perfect to have a Battery consisting of two pieces one long range and one cannister but why do they have to be put together in a double line as strategically you use them very in a different manner, i suggest you have a battery of two units of the same caliber, or i would suggest that we can split them up anyway.
A: The battery rule is that all artillery consists of two units; a cannister unit and a long range gun unit. The concept behind the battery rule is to more closely simulate the actual use of artillery. As we all know, artillery could fire either solid shot, shell, or cannister. In the current model of NTW, artillery can only fire long range or cannister. By grouping the artillery and putting them in double line you are creating a double sized artillery unit that can fire both long range and cannister, much as real guns can. While it does limit the use of the artillery in some ways, it also creates a more realistic situation. For now, the battery rule *will* be used in the campaign. However, if things change, we will certainly let everyone know!
Q: What games can I play?
A: At any point during the week up until Saturday evening, you can play any of the three Weekday Scenarios for that week. During the weekend, you can play only the Weekend Games, which only four players per faction will be able to play. For more details about Weekday Games, please see the stickied post about it.
Q: When will I know whose team I am on/what faction I am playing?
A: We should have the basic list out by Sunday, January 23.
Q: Are we using General units in this campaign?
A: NO! Any time the term "General" is used, it is meant to signify a PLAYER, not the actual in-game unit. Because of army size constraints, Generals will (much to my own chagrin) not be used.
Q: When I play, how do I know what armies to buy?
A: Each battle will have an army list (or more accurately, 12 army lists) that will tell Generals what armies to buy. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO UNDERSTAND THE CONFLICT LEVEL RULES, or you will NOT understand what armies to buy! We will be posting a sample army list soon for players to check so they understand what to buy.
Q: In the army lists, rather than listing UNITS to buy, you list companies and regiments. What units make up a company?
A: Along with the release of the sample army list, we will release a Company Guide that will explain what units make up each of the companies. We use the company system to cut down on the amount of sheer typing that goes into army lists.
