S! all,
I just wanted to ask people for their ideas and suggestions for the actual Release of the mod. After all, that is why we released it, so that everyone out there could get their hands on it and tell us what works and what doesnt!
Thanks!
Ash
HERE IS A LIST OF PROJECTED PLANS:
* Load screens, backgrounds, and other miscellaneous screens changed to AWI screens. * New graphics for Native Warparties and American Riflemen. * Bump in range and accuracy of American Rifles to more offset their sky high costs and tiny unit size. * Bump in general costs of Elites (GMBs from 700 to 850, British and French Grenadiers from 600 to 700) to make them more rare on the field. * An addition of a light, fast French cav unit. * Addition of 15 or so new maps. * Addition of new infantry and horse marching sounds. * Correction of Native Warparties firing effectiveness (currently way too fast and accurate) * Addition of more red, white, and blue and white colors to choose from in the army selection screen. * Increase in artillery ammo. * Change faction name from English to British

I think we have talked about most of this already Ash, but here are some ideas just for others to see and react to: - Raise cost of elites to ensure armies with more line and militia are bought. - Very fast "hussars" unit unique to the French. - Maybe very expensive rifles for the British. American rifles cost times 2-3? - Replace warparties' weapon with slower firing one - Add rule to AWI games besides the one exiksting "general required"-rule: Attackers deploy at the rear of their deployment zones. Larger part of the maps will hopefully be used. Besides this I think the mod is well balanced and a TON of fun to play! [GG]vD

I'd love to make suggestions, but I need to PLAY the mod more before I can have much useful to say. I've thoroughly enjoyed the games I have played.

;D Pretty sure you're already tired of my requests, but here goes! - A Native AmericanFaction! Mohawk/Iroqouis or SOMETHING! Come on! Don't leave the Native Americans hanging mate. - Spanish Faction. They fought, too! -If you give the British riflemen, then perhaps giving the Americans a second, more skilled, riflemen group? Kentucky Riflemen, anyone? -Perhaps, Marksman designed to target enemy General's? It's already apparent many of us target General's with Rifles and Scouts as it is. -SOMETHING TO FIX MY GHOST GAMES. What kind of a God allows this type of thing to happen!?

French Hussars: Good idea Artillery ammo:More More Artillery unit size:Increase by 1-2...4 puonder costs 2000 so Art will be rare in future too Oh and that Brown color if its possible Maybe more units? Just to have more change in battles British Rifles: I dont agree. Brits do well without them anyway. Oh and shooting cav would be nice. Dragoons! Gen shoots with pistols so this is possible. Maybe increasing loyalist militia speed. Just a thought this might get people take them in battle. Moving could little bit in disorder

I am looking to add a brown and green color to the Americans, such that an american force can have green GMBs and brown Minutemen... would still be somewhat accurate and will keep the sides very seperate looking.
Thanks for all the suggestions, keep them coming... some will definately be used!

Since artillery units are smaller...more ammo would be nice to have for the smaller arty units to be more of a worth to buy especially if 1 unit of 3, 4 pounders cost 2000 florins and the ammo only lasts for a short amount of time Do you see what I mean? Cheers

Having played quite a few games now (mainly with SirD), it seems to me that the Americans are a little too strong. So before the final release, perhaps some more testing for balance should be done.
Or is my gut feeling wrong about this?

I agree with AK. American's do seem too easily to win with. If you skirmish as you're supposed to, you will win most of the time, and the British will just keep walking forward, and taking casualties. Nothing seems to work with them, in my opinion, save for staying in tree's and not allowing the Americans to get good shots off. But then again, the British were renown for being troops that could win in open, with ground to maneuver, correct? But why not in this Mod? Just one more little tidbit to add.. .. For the love of God, stop my Riflemen's hats from dancing. It's just.. weird.

One solution might be to speed up the Brits slightly? They should definitely be slower than the Americans, but now it seems they are hardly moving... [GG]Lord vD
